lods trough -1 to -8 are reserved for collision meshes.
Awsome! I am going to make train tracks right away! Also, can you extrude collision meshes?

Make a track 16x long. Great, you're "hired".

Serious or a joke? I would need to know how to make a special brick blb file. I could make the DTS and if you know how to make a BLB, I would leave that up to you. The only way I could make it work is using props because Nix made it easy to make brick sizes.

Props?

Just get going with a model. Need a picture or something?

Post a picture if you would like. I used to make model railroads all the time and there are multitudes of types of track. I would like a picture of what it should look like.

I was thinking of making the rails the collision but whatever.

The collision that I drew would just stop the train from running off the tracks, if this was done whit the prop mod you wouldn't need to worry about the tracks collision.

NINJA EDIT: you could make corner pieces whit curved collision boxes that'd direct the train to the right way.

Using the prop mod? How would I not have to worry about rail collision? Isn't prop mod limited to basic collision of a static brick such as 2x2, 4x2 and such. Not 16x8 with rails to make it stay on track?

Model is almost done. I am wondering though how the collision on the sides would work. Wouldn't a player wind up walking into the invisible collision on the sides?

Would not work. Vehicle collision is so crappy in Torque that you'd end up getting stuck constantly.

Shame.

Tell me about it. When I made my H1-Heedical tank and any other vehicle, it would get stuck in the side of a building if I hit it by accident.

Edit: Wouldn't my orriginal method work? Where only the wheels touch like how people make normal tracks for the box car train so it is possible to fall off the track but it won't get stuck in its own collision?

Trains have been attempted numerous times in Blockland and the people who made them tried most of the ideas you mentioned here. None have worked well and all the trains have sucked.
