TBM is also very confusing to me, as I've tried it once or twice. I didn't care for it much, since it wasn't as user-friendly as RTB. Maybe it's just because I was so used to RTB, I don't know, but RTB just seems like a better choice.

I still say use RtB, only the diehard fans of TBM(Creators and friends) activly play TBM anymore.
There are actually quite a few new members every day.
I play it because it's easier and faster. I can make simple, yet complex things like this in a minute [literally] without using scripts:

It probably boils down to what you're going to spend the most time with. Most people will continue to use RtB 1.04-5. TBM seems to be going its separate way.

No wai!!! (drawn in by the prettyness)  really? a minute?.......>.>......<.<........(dls TBM)

You can do that in RTB aswell.

Bleh's custom shifting mod on his website.

blockheadbleh.co.nr

ADVERT, LOL.

Ninja, those are processed screenshots just so you know. The pseudo-HDR isn't actually in TBM. The feature I was talking about was mass brick manipulation/rotate. I placed a few bricks, made a centerpoint, then pasted a new layer with increments of 5 degrees. I didn't have to calculate anything.

Meh...o well....Finally, someone tell me where to get Bleh's shifting mod!!! (I've been "away" from BL for a couple months >.<)

Im going to set the records straight here.

You can run an "island neighbourhood" as was seen in "Ephialtes' RPG" where i successfully ran a server with 28 islands, each one owned by a player who could return, teleport to their island, and modify their build.

RTB 1.05 will be almost 60% more stable im estimating. Our current gui is also very userfriendly (if you're on 800x600 resolution haha) currently.

Our Servers can be as secure as you want them to be. If you set Brickplanting to cost money, every brick they plant will charge them $1. You can set how much cash they start with when you start the server.

Err, if i get the time later, i'll continue. But im going to eat now.

You can do this in any mod. Personally I think TBM's island maps look quite a bit better.

Ctrl+W, Ctrl+W, Ctrl+W, Ctrl+W, need I say more? It's a pain to navigate through. Need a hammer? *scroll**scroll**scroll**scroll**scroll*

Welcome to a feature of TBM 1.xx, created over a year ago. TBM's never had brickspamming or server crashing. It's not just because of the users.

I suggest TBM.

TBM has everything you want plus more features and they are user-friendly.
Despite what the hipsters of USSR say.

-Custom shifting
-One-Button Scaling
-Admin/Moderator status for security
-Customizable ghost brick skins
-iGob > 1339
-Thuper duper cars/planes/ships
-Super sweet TBM:IRC

etc.

Personally if you're going for all the people to play with you should use RtB. It pains me to say. But that's basically a 3d lego chatroom for most. No one in RtB really builds good stuff except USSR, and they're starting to get stuck up and roostery about their building skills.

And for you n00bs who think you build well, boxes don't count.

I think I'll play it by ear. Right now, I'm leaning toward TBM solely for the amount of bricks and extensive color palette. Pending the release of RTB 1.05, I may switch over (if it adds a significant number of necessary bricks). For now, my island is still in the planning stages so I don't need to make any hasty decisions.

Thanks again to everybody for your opinions. I never thought I'd get such a fast response.

RTB 1.05 will be for the retail version of Blockland... and upon the release of which, TBM (or so I heard) will have already moved on and made their own game (not sure what kind :S) and have forgotten Blockland. So, for retail, you will most likely end up playing RTB anyway, unless you play the Vanilla (Blockland without any mods), or unless you just don't buy retail... so you may want to get used to it.

And RTB is more user-friendly than TBM IMHO... >.>

Any release date set yet? Maybe I'd be better off waiting to start any ambitious projects until retail becomes available.

Yeah, ok. Maybe cut down the dosage on your medication. That may be the problem.

TEST: :panda: < If that looks like a lizard with two eyes and a snake. Then you're on way too much medication.

That isn't a valid argument.
