Author Topic: annoying error message for my games  (Read 2188 times)

whenever i start one of my 50$ games, install, then when i play it for a while my gam e won't start and i get an error message that says 'Could not write lisense data!'. what does this mean and how do i fix it? it is just my games that involve a disk. it only does this for Grand Theft Auto IV and The Sims 2. i have windows vista and a good video card and processor. HELP! i just want to play my games again.

Did you read the whole thing? He says the 2 games that are broken are GTA 4 and the Sims 2.

Probably means something with your CD/DVD Drive.

It was sold by that store, and it was put in that CD Drive, and it was played, and it crapped out? Yeah....

It's probably something wrong with your computer.

On a serious note: Probably a virus, try getting some antivirus.

Ontopic: Some games can't be run on Windows Vista, look on the box, it should say what systems it can run on.

Some games are writen on the disk in a special way to help it load faster. GTA IV is one of those. Try un-installing it.
