well it's not really a game but......
anyone besides me know how to map with it?
or do stuff with the faceposer or ANYthing else?

i'm just wondering if anyone wants to swap things we know
so we can make better maps :D

OK! for the people that don't know what it is
it is the engine that the Half life series runs on
here let me list some games
that are on the NEW engine only so none of the first half life

half life 2 episode 2 (note this is a upgraded engine from half life 2)
Half Life 2: Deathmatch
Half Life 2: Lost Coast
Team fortress 2       (note this is a upgraded engine from half life 2)
counter strike
counter strike: source
Counter strike: Condition Zero
left 4 dead
Day of Defeat: Source
Portal

there is a another counter strike but i don't really know what it is

Why don't you use google or go on facepunch to learn more?

Do you really think this community would have a lot of experts on the whole sdk?

I fiddled around with the sdk once, but i failed horribly and haven't really felt like using it since.

yeah your right but it's simple to use and there is alot of things you can stuble apon
and i was wondering if anyone knew sorry

where did you fail?

I made my first .vcd file with Faceposer and i can't play it in anything cause i don't know how! :D

I don't even know where to put the darn file

Edit: Yup, if you're using Faceposer with HL2, the .vcd goes in steamapps/USERNAME/hal-life 2/hl2/scenes and the sound(s) in the .vcd goes in steamapps/USERNAME/half-life 2/hl2/sound, and once you're done, go to steamapps/USERNAME/garrysmod/garrysmod and make a folder called scenes and in there, copy and paste your .vcd in there, and in steamapps/USERNAME/garrysmod/garrysmod/sound, copy and paste the sound(s) used in your .vcd, then in game, you can bring out the NPC Scene STool, and open the list and it'll be there on the list, i put my .vcd in a folder called MLD though, so i have my own folder to put my scenes in :3

I'm a veteran Mapper with Hammer. Also Source SDK is not the engine, it is the Source Development Kit.
