Author Topic: New Section: Mature Discussion  (Read 3962 times)

Seeing as Offtopic can be easily abused, and it is very hard to have a sophisticated, mature discussion over there, I think a new board would be in order; Mature Discussion.
The general idea, of course, would be a more mature overall feeling to it.
No:
-Spam
-Flaming (Directly, for example: forget you, as compared to, "True, but I disagree.")
-No modify button
Simple as that.
But it's not up to me, obviously. Hopefully this gets considered.

Or "Serious Discussion".

Or "Serious Discussion".
True, that would be a better name for it.

Its hard to have a mature discussion when most of the community is consisted of 13-14 year olds.

Beyond that, you could have a mature discussion if you posted something worthwhile to discuss.

I just wish people would take serious things seriously to begin with.

Off the subject, holy hell it's 2:40 and I need to get sleep.

Blah blah blah I'm superior to everyone blah blah blah you all suck blah blah blah

We get it.

Um your playing a game that you make blocks.....bad graphic blocks.... into something that looks kool...but that dosent change that all this game is, is advanced preschool.... curtently the event part of it is hard when you get really complicted... but all in all its a game where you control a little block man and make little block buildings... do you think twenty year olders are really gonna play this game? maybe some but this game you have to let your self really become a kid to play... and 13-14 are still kid engough to think up random and kool builds while have the will you finish them and improve... if you ask me they are the perfect age for this game. and the fourms are for thouse who play this game. and you really think this game is going to attrack the kind of kids that want to have mature discussions?!?

(Please excuse my bad spelling... spelling isn't one of my best subjects)

You obviously wouldn't be posting in said section.

Maybe an age limit?

"Serious Business"

That definitely has to be the name of the board if we get it.
Now someone think up a witty description to go with it ;)

Topics such as : Was there ever life on Mars? What do you think will happen to the Human race in the next 1,000 years?

I don't get this.... There are, most likely, thousends of forums! yet you want to talk about life on mars on a computer games forum! come on! this isn't some type of gentelman club.... Its a computer game which you build blocks.... please... some one tell me why you think that guys and girls are gonna talk about life on mars on a blockland forum... its blockland! its a fun game yes, but that still dosen't change the fact that its a computer game that you build with blocks....

And this Mature Discussion topic, you relize that this will artrack the most annoy folk. like moths to a flame :panda:

You obviously wouldn't be posting in said section.

Maybe an age limit?

Im dyeing to know why not... please draw from your pool of over flowing matureness and wisdom and let me drink so I may see why I would not join in a "Mature Discussion" and why you should....

By the way Matureness comes in diffrent forms, such as I have a brother who is really crazy, like he jumps into the water falls of dams with out emptying his pockets. yet he went to Zimbabwe to help out there at a church, would any one say that this brother of mine is not a Mature man?

You obviously wouldn't be posting in said section.

Unfortunately, maturity does not always coincide with increased age :p
