How exactly do you take over a grey village? Just send troops there? Or do you have to send a Nobleman aswell?

So, I still had to wait 1 hour for them to go there and back. I also lost a Spearman. Also, when you read the tutorial, you find out that when a village is grey, it gets soldiers and things to protect itself.
