PLEASE HELP WITH CSS!!!

I bought Counter Strike: Source yesterday and after it was done I clicked the game to launch it. The "Preparing to launch Counter Strike: Source" message came up so I thought everything was fine. But then the message went away. Then my mouse on the screen had that blue ring next to it to show that something was loading so I still thought it was going to load. But then THAT went away and nothing happened. PLEASE HELP! (This is on Steam)

The game in this case is pretty much crashing on start up.

Get a PC instead or use wine.
As for you Freeman, I suggestion restarting steam or your computer, you might also want to show us your PC specs so we can help you better. If you dont want to, you can try valve/steam tech support.

try opening the task manager and canceling the process that runs CS:S it might be hl2.exe I wouldn't know though. I had this problem with gmod from steam and doing the above and starting the game up again usually worked.
