Well, even though Sonic was made to be both a mascot for Sega^®, and a rival to Nintendo^®'s Mario, they have both since been in Nintendo^® games, and have both given Nintendo^® a lot of money.  They have even appeared in the same game. 

Also, I think that there was little to no point in writing this, as it really has very little to do with the topic, but it was fun, I even learned that sonic's boots were based off of Michael Jackson's boots.
