Author Topic: Is my video card outdated?  (Read 791 times)

It's a weird videocard.  It's like unichrome and then a whole bunch of random numbers and letters.

P.S.  I think it is because my computer is 10 years old.  But I'm just checking if it is.

I can't edit for some reason - so I'm doing this:

VIA/S3G Unichrome IPG

Is out outdated?

Yes. Very.
Great...of course it is... Tiem to save for a new computer.

How can I tell?  I'm not very good with computers.

Bump, I need to find out what sereis my video card is.

We can't magically find it for you.
Try opening Run in the start menu
Type: dxdiag
Goto Display tab.

I did, but what I meant is, I need someone to run through for me how to find out the series, because It doesn't say what it is in the display tab.

Gah, whats up with the no edit button?  I'll just put all the info here that it says:
Name: VIA/S3G  UniChrome IGP
Manufacturer: VIA/S3G
Chip Type: VIA/S3G  UniChrome IGP
DAC Type: Internal
Approx. Total Memory: 64.0 MB
Current Display Mode: 1024 x 768 (32 Bit) (60Hz)
Monitor:  Default Moniter.

Am I looking in the right place?  Because that is under the dxdiag in run, display, device:  Then all that stuff.

I don't think it maters what graphics card you have if its 10 years old. A computer that old probably cant even run blockland.

I have a video card just as good and I can play Blockland.

I have a video card just as bad and I can play Blockland.
Fixed.

Ok,  I'll lock now.
