You should have something like teams set up.

Like in the race, someone is doing badly, as something around them is happening, like lag. They park in the pits, and if any of the team is there, they pop into the car, whilst the "Not-so-good" driver gets out, setting off again to win the race.

I believe we have decided to finish the race track completely before reopening the server. I'm not entirely sure how long that will take us, but 1-2 weeks would be a reasonable guesstimate.
