Author Topic: Lego universe  (Read 1836 times)

i have been hearing about lego universe and i was wondering if anyone is
planning to get it?  I think Blockland will be the best LEGO game for a while
but no one knows till 2010.  Then again, blockland is the only LEGO game so
far with ADD-ON  capabilities, on account that some ADD-ONS rock.  so i just need
your thoughts on the soon to be releasing game.  If you want more info go to:
universe.lego.com

use the search feature, I do believe there are several threads about Lego Universe already.

Just like how Windows says it could take Several Minutes to install.

I think that LU will have quite an uncontrollable community and be limited to baseplates.

LU will be a pretty big hit on account that is only $10
it does have bigger capabilities of more vehicles on the
feature of "build a car" in the workshop
except Blockland will have still a LOT of weapons and cars, exe.
but in lego universe you will not be able to build as much.
overall, i think blockland is a more Teen rated game, cause lego
universe seems more kid friendly to me

Where are you getting your sources?

Since I don't really think this will be a competitor to Blockland at all (different game genres, different aims), I am willing to try it.

i'm so confused on how its going to work.
Their "gameplay" trailer doesn't show any gameplay. It just shows some videos on what you can do, but how do you move around, how do you meet people and build.

I want to know that, if its like habbo hotel but in 3D i'm not even going to bother trying it

It's not a gameplay trailer, the dumbasses on YouTube just call it that.

It's a concept trailer.

And I hear it's going to be like LEGO Star Wars (movement and camera perhaps) but MMO.

my 2x4 flat skill needs another 600 exp

I just hope it has as much building opportunities as I am hoping and it isn't just a map.

i have a feeling any free building will be done in "dungeons" your own load off area. that people can likely visit.

to just have an open town/world of building, most people's computers would lag to much for anything epic.

Well, I think they would be able to make it even more efficient than Blockland (I'd hope) because they probably have a whole development team working on this.  Not only is it done quicker, I'd think they would make a quality product.

if its done on some fancy game engine, with a limited draw, it could work i guess
