Give me suggestions on new faces/decals

I'm remaking my Super Mario Bros. Decals. Should I color Mario's Eyes Blue? or keep them the same Blocko eyes?

If you're still doing those, make his eyes square with a blue cornea and a black pupil. But make the cornea/pupil square, too.
