Author Topic: Mac Question  (Read 15968 times)

My PC recently got 38 viruses, and constantly crashes. My 10 Macs have never had any viruses, and they have never crashed once, so don't go saying that PCs are better, because they're not.....
Stop looking at donkey scat research and downloading "hacks".

I've had this computer for 8 months and haven't had one virus.
Do you know why?
It's because I'm not stupid and I have common sense.
So yes, I will say that you're an ignorant computer user that doesn't have common sense and logic.
And the only reason why it would crash is if you forget something up.

i don't use a firewall, or any anti virus or adware programs. i browse stuff i likely shouldn't be, and downloading things and from places i likely shouldn't.
but i haven't had a virus in like 6 years. because i am computer savvy and have more common sense then most users.
i can fully enjoy a computer and its complete possibilities because im not loving stupid, and because this is windows and not macOS.

Aye mac-need to mac-know mac-what mac-you are mac-talking aboot, laddy.

Lets not even get started about kernels...
kernals kick dos in the teeth if you know how to handle a computer correctly, yet I switched to windows for some reason

Every single OS has a kernel you forgettard

Macs are better than PCs, and don't give me any of that "You're just an ignorant Mac user, you don't know anything about PCs" garbage. I have two PCs, and the only thing I use them for is gaming (more specifically, Steam games and various other games that won't play on Mac, either because no one's bothered to make them for Mac, or because the more recent Mac operating systems don't allow them to run properly.) I know that PCs are good for some things, but Macs are better at almost everything than PCs are. My PC recently got 38 viruses, and constantly crashes. My 10 Macs have never had any viruses, and they have never crashed once, so don't go saying that PCs are better, because they're not.....

Sorry, I just HAD to do that...

If you have the proper (even free) antivirus program you won't easily get a virus. It's probably just me but the computers failing around me (friends/mine) recently have been macs while my pc has been fine.

Yea solid, getting the pass from your dad is a good idea.

Use the start up disk in system prefferences and reset and you could reset the pass.

I have been forced to use a mac for any gaming the last week, and I have been bored as fark :(

Also Bisjac, finally someone awesome that doesn't use firewall or antivirus like me :D
without getting viruses that is.

Ugh, people don't turn this into a loving Mac vs PC thread, I just asked question and you guys can't help but say how much better Macs/PCs are than the rival computer.

If I remember correctly, Telly, the one who really poured fuel on this fire, was the ignorant ultraconservative friend who got banned a while ago.

Okay, I'm going to call him right now, he is at work.

Thing is he says this computer doesn't have a public IP address, so I can't port forward. Could this be true?

Ugh, he doesn't want to do it. I guess he thinks it will make viruses attracted to the computer or something.

Parents and port forwarding, ugh.

Stop fighting over Macs or Pcs, it drives me nuts, we all have our preferences.

On-Topic:
If you don't know the password go to System Preferences>Network>Select your Airport>Click Advanced at the Bottom>Select your Airport>Hit the little Pencil Icon or Edit Icon>Allow>Show Password. Hope it works otherwise browse your advanced network settings looking for numbers, they might work.

I'll try that, thanks. :D

I can't find the Apple Wireless password, all I can find is the Jupiter2 password.

Is there somewhere that I'm supposed to look to find the Apple Wireless pass?
