Did it involve having to do stuff with System Preferences and Network? :o
If it does than that's okay, if it doesn't please remember. D:

When that window comes up.

enter your LAN IP. as the user name.
And your WPA password as a password.

The WPA is like a WEP. It is usually kept in the manual or its already written down under the airport.

I know the pass, but where do I locate the Apple Wireless pass?

Nimbus is gone until Monday, so I guess I'll take over.

Found this on an Apple support forum:

I am trying to access my airport utility and it is asking me for my password for my wireless device. I don't remember it. How can I find it? I looked into keychain but could not find it.

Thanks,

Aaron

Welcome to the discussions!

It takes a little digging and unless you have deleted Keychain entries, you should be able to retrieve your wireless password.

Open KeyChain Access and look down the list of devices for your Airport Network Password. Double click to open and check the box next to "show password". You will be asked for your main administrator password and then the wireless network password should appear.

If all else fails, you can always hard reset the Extreme and reconfigure it.

There are 2 passwords which are associated with an AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS).

(1) The administrative password. This is the password which allows you to access the settings of the base station and makes changes. The default password is "public".

(2) The wireless encryption password. This is the password which allows you to wirelessly connect to the network. This is typically stored in the keychain on your Mac.

Let me know if this helps/doesn't help.

I don't know the keychains password.

I don't know the keychains password.

Do you know if you set up a separate password for your Keychain?

If not, Administrator password might work.

If it doesn't, I'll find you a tutorial for resetting your Keychain password.

If it doesn't, I'll find you a tutorial for resetting your Keychain password.
Do this please. :)

And my administrator pass didn't work. :(

If the default (administrator) password has been changed, then the keychain (if it has been locked) can only be unlocked with the admistrator password that was used to originally create the keychain (the original administrator password). Yes, if you have tried to unlock the keychain, and no password works not even an old one), then there's two choices. Use keychain as is (but you can't modify the keychain), or delete the keychain file and restart from scratch.

Your default keychain binds to your Administrator password upon creation and will continue to update when you update your Administrator password via the Accounts menu. If you forget your password and are forced to utilize other means to reset it (See FAQ entitled: How do I reset a Mac OS X System Administrator (root) Password?), you will no longer be able to use any keychain that had a password bound to your lost password.

   1. Navigate to /Applications/Utilities/
   2. Locate and double click to select the icon entitled Keychain access. This will launch a window entitled: Keychain Access.
   3. Navigate to the Edit menu at the top of your screen and from the pull-down menu select Change Password for Keychain "login" ….
   4. In the resulting Change Keychain Password window:
         1. Enter your current password (If this is your first time doing this, the password is the administrator password.)
         2. Enter your new password.
         3. Re-enter your new password in the Verify box.
   5. Click the OK button to commit your changes. This will close the Change Keychain Password window.

If you can no longer access your keychain or have recently reset your password by means other than those associated with the Accounts menu, your only option is to delete the keychains you are unable to access. This may be done by completing the following steps:

   1. Navigate to /Applications/Utilities/
   2. Locate and double click to select the icon entitled Keychain access. This will launch a window entitled: Keychain Access.
   3. Navigate to the Edit menu at the top of your screen and from the pull-down menu select Keychain List.
   4. In the resulting window, locate and click to select the keychains you are currently unable to access.
   5. Verify that no other keychains are selected.
   6. Click the OK button. This will commit your changes and close the window. If the OK button is dimmed, please deselect and reselect one of your options.
   7. Restart your machine and login. Your keychain should now function with your new (current) Administrator password.

Let me know if this helps/doesn't help.

Where is the edit button? :/
