I self moved from Suggestions to here:
(I will make if people want.)

I was wondering, what if there was a way you could rate the server (game) you were on. IDK if it would be a client sided mod or a server sided mod (Probally a combo of both), and would probally send BASIC ratings from ingame. And let people write extended reviews on the website. (I could host this from my website/hosting)

Any thoughts?

Somewhat abusable, people would purposely rate down servers being jackasses. Though comments on a server may work, but it'd could only be shown to the players and not to the host.

I think it would do more harm then good, however I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of vote buttons that users could only vote once for, for example "This server is" Great!, Bad, Boring, Good Building. But players can change there vote when ever, but they can only have 1 vote. So in the rating list you may see 10 votes on Good Building but 3 on Great!, sort of stops idiots spamming votes on Bad. 1 Vote per ID that's changeable.

One vote per ID that is changeable.
Voting is done in game.

Reviews are written on the website.

Tom

And maybe host can reset votes, but only once a day.

Azjherben, are you planning on doing this?

If you mean like "Server ratings" I was making that and my bro released it, and it doesn't work the best.

I am planning on making a new one if no one else does.

Major design flaw, perhaps they votes reset once every 7 days. Servers can change.

I am.

Also, the server votes can be reset anytime BUT the host must provide a short reason and have the vote reset approved by me.

1. I do.
2. Did he have a webserver or some way to host a ratings server?

I added alot to the post above.
Re read it please.

Oh crap....

How do I hide a password in a script?

Basic rating works.
If you type /rate [your rating here] it will send something like this to my database:

Integer[rating],String[ServerName],String[RatersName]

It keeps the name of the rater the name of the server you rated and your rating!

Tom

It should do it based on owner of the server.

It should also send the raters ID.

Download the add-on.
Host a server with it.
When your done with that tell me (post here) and I'll come and "rate" it.

Okay?

Can't, hosting a dedicated and I don't want to start hosting two servers at once.
