I love the fact that all of my favorite games are on that system (halo3, CoD5, GoW2).
I like the xbox live stuff where youcan DL games, movies, etc.
You can get some really good multi-player going thar.
The funny crap you can do on halo3

I like the way the controller fits in my hand.
All my favorite games are on it.
I'm just really comfortable playing it like I'm supposed to be playing it.[
Xbox live is simple and easy to use.
I also don't get updates every time I sign in to live like I do on my PS3 with PSN.

Good stuff:

• Internet
• Lots of media available, like music, radio, videos, movies
• Portable
• Battery life is pretty great
• Most games have decent graphics
• You don't need a friend code to play online

Bad stuff:

• Not many great games
• Some games have stuffty graphics
• Lowest volume isn't very low

5 hour's is better then my laptop. My laptop can only like last 3 or 4 hour's on battery.
