Nothing is blocking them, but i recently put them in this cabinet-looking thing in my computer desk, door open

Your power supply might be dieing. Mine did that whenever I played games.

Or else how would they get power.

He said the monitor was shutting off. Try playing with some of your monitor settings (the buttons on the monitor.)
