It would be kinda fun, but the whole "rpg thing" and the gamerscore shop doesn't seem so great to me.

Although I just want it because Wing and I always make achievement jokes anyway. :P

Achievements: Easy-Normal-Hard-Expert
Easy achievements give you 5-10 points
Normal achievements give you 11-20 points
Hard achievements give you 21-30 points
Expert achievements give you 41-60 points

You use points in a store thing like place where you can unlock more blocks for your "B" menu, or more items to place, etc.

It would be cool, if in the next version, it would be possible to get a number of Blockochievements (I SPELLED IT RIGHT :D) Like, for an example, play 40 hours on blockland in total, or make a build with 10000 bricks on a 16x32 baseplate. But, it wouldn't be cool if it was only possible on one server.

Maybe it can be included with RTB.

I still like my TF2 like achievements concept where theh ost can set the achievements.

what im trying to say is that the owner can make the achievements and how much blockoscore they give out and the owner can make any achievements like per say stay on this blockland server for 24 hours or find the secret of what a tank shell does in the bedroom and other people can help eachother out with the achievements to

Maybe achievements events. Onplayer touch- Player -Addachievement (achievementname) or something like that.

but the player has a menu that shows his blockoscore and his blockochievements and the blockochievements he has to unlock or the ones hes got and the player can check everyone elses blockoscore and what achievements they have got and the players blockoscore stays with them even when they switch a server so lets say a player had 1000 blockoscore in one server then went onto another server he would still have that 1000 blockoscore

Bleep Bloop!

No score. Achievements would just be personal one-liners of something you've done, nothing more - no incentive to cheat.

Servers and Add-Ons should be able to set any kind of achievements they like. If you join a server with new achievements, you can see these in a GUI as "locked" while in the server. If you unlock one, it'd added permanently as "unlocked" and you can see the description of it and possibly icon.

Yes this could be one that gets made. But do you mean like a list of achivments that you unlock in any server? Or stuff like you unlock this but you don't get to keep it? I have an idea for the score you unlock this many points you unlock a new hat or something.

Although it's not that bad of an idea, I can see it was directly influenced by Microsoft's achievement/gamer score thing.

It could have been influenced by Valve's achievement system, the Team Fortress 2 give 1 point per achievement.

Ahh.
I've never had much to do with valve. Just occasionally play some Gmod. And very rarely play CS:S
But some of my friends have Xboxs and are always ranting on about getting this and that achievement and "my gamer score is bigger then your gamer score".
Pesonnally I see no point in game achievements. Just another way some ego friendly friend can wave his e-snake around.

i've found achievements give games more replay value. For example, if peggle had achievements i would have played it more often after beating it the first time
