Author Topic: I can't play Halo 3 anymore :(  (Read 4166 times)

Look what happened to my disc after my friend borrowed it. My brother spent $69.99 for the Special Edition, and now that's gone down the toilet.
What should I do? It doesn't run at all, it just makes a "tink tink" sound over and over, then it says "Open Tray" again. There's also a triangular scratch near the inner rim.. I would expect the nearby GameStop has a disc cleaner, hard to know though.

EDIT: I still have Ep3 to look forward to, near the end of the year it should come out :D

Halo 3: So intense it burns itself.

Who's mistake is it? His own or his Xbox's mistake?

if you move the xbox while a disk is in there playing it scratches the forget out of it.
ive had this happen a couple of times, its the god damn stuffty disk drive.

Make your friend buy you a new copy.

I dont see why. It was an accident, the Xbox 360 does this. read my above post.

Xbox destroyed Burnout Paradise and Soul Calibur 4 :(

That isn't my REAL disc, I can't find the camera so I looked up one similar. It's not really that deep.

well its worth a try.
gamecrazy or hollywood video has a disk fixer thing that should be able to do it
either for free or a small fee of like 2-4 dollars. its how i got mine fixed. works like a charm :D

take it to your local game store so they can repair it. most game places(gamecrazy for example) have disc repairing machines.

His xbox's. It's something about the disk drive.

Just by ODST when it comes out. It has all of Halo 3's multiplayer on it.

Alright, when my brother goes out tonight to get dinner, I'll have him drop by GameCrazy or Hollywood Video to clean it off.
Usually if we bought it from a certain store, they'll give us another copy if we got some sort of limited edition. Utah is awesome :D Which is why we always get Limited Editions.

Bring it in to Blockbuster, or any other place that can fix CDs.
This happened back when I had Rockband 1. Little kids knocked over the Xbox and the CD looked like that afterwards.

So,
