Author Topic: Zombie Survival list  (Read 88286 times)

I think the laptop would be soft of a waste of space personally. If it was just me I would pack light and not take much electronics then an iPod or DS, hopefully finding more along the way to switch from only really keeping the game cards. I would likely pack myself with a .22 pistol and rifle. They are smaller hunting rifles but they pack enough punch to take out a brain. Taking a box set of shells for it I would pack that into the rock climbing pack I would take with me. Get a machette or bear knife and then a pocket knife for small things like sharpening sticks. I would grab as muh RME's (meals ready to eat) and stuff those away in the bag. Then I would grab first aid kit and a couple water purifying straws for the water for drinking and to get the food ready. For clothes I would have one medium-heavy jacket wrapped around the backpack for padding in warm weather and a light jacket and long sleeve. Then shorts and climbing boots and and some sunglasses and spare glasses in case my main pair break. I would head out to the nearest snowboarding area by me. It gives intelligen. People the ability to get up quickly, often there's a couple hiking and emergency huts along the mountain, and a great view of everything around. In the winter of the first year most zombies will  be slowed down due to Wisconsin winter weather. Then I would take a four wheeler and fill the back with supplies and gas tanks I looted off small areas. Taking only backroads I would travel up through Canada passing major cities and famous sights. Going all the way towards Alaska I would travel over what many call the 'Ice roads'. These are makeshift roads that are really just thick ice that goes over the oceans around there. Taking the ice roads I would travel to one of the small towns. Because in the winter all the zombies around there are frozen, and in the summer they are allgone because the surrounding area is all water. The natives would live how they always do getting food by fishing and water by purification methods.

I'm not going to list everything else I would take, but for my gun I would bring a .22 Rimfire rifle. Pierces the skull, and makes a clean kill.

barricade myself inside with plenty of snacks, I'd steal tons of money, sit down at my computer and play video games with other survivors untill I can't play no more.

Ya syntho go and barricade your local giant mall like in dawn of the dead but instead you go into the gamestop area and play left for dead 2 there for the irony.

Reading this thread was fun. Probably not at all serious at this point, but I really wanna post...

-Swiss Army Knife/Pocket Knife (or both)
-Fire starting kit
-Blankets (black or gray, for hiding situations
-Emergency radio
-Very dark, black outfit
-Tiny water filter + bottle or two
-Crowbar!
-A pair of these babies
-A small, silenced pistol. Dunno what kind.
-Probably some kind of food item
This is assuming the zombies take on the '28 Days Later' style of infection. This is also assuming I'm going to make my way out of the city quickly and stealthily, avoiding any contact possible with infected (and non-infected) people. I would make use of shady/dark niches. I would also use the pistol if things got bad (ie. stumbling upon one infected) and getting the hell out quickly and quietly.

I would eventually make my way towards the woods, or any remote location, on foot and go as far out and away from civilization as possible. I would try to survive until the whole thing blew over, or everything died of starvation. I could also pick up a tree perch on my way out, just to make things a bit safer.

I'd probably die of starvation after realizing that my only survival skill came from a couple episodes of Survivor Man, but it would be a much prettier way to go than being torn apart by a horde of rabid people. :D

Hiding from zombies like that won't work, I wouldn't think.
Can't they smell you or some stuff?

While on Topic of doomsday irony I think I'm going to have a movie party on 2012 where me and my friends will rent the movie 2012 and warch that and try to plan it where it ends right when it's supposed to start.. Or end, however you want to put it.

The beginning of the end...

However I found a flaw to 2012. Now if Australia is a day ahead does that mean that they blow up or whatever the hell a day early? And if so I would just get my uncle to fly my family and his through +1 hour timezones untill we reach a place where it already ended. So would that mean I win?

Maybe. One theory is that they're just incredibly insane people who are blinded by uncontrollable rage.

In any case, the plan is to be as mobile as possible, and avoid any violent conflict to increase not-getting-torn-apart-and/or-eaten chances.

I prefer the mutated rabies theory.

I wouldn't overdo it and be unpractical like some of the people posting. You aren't going on a loving camping trip, you are just getting what you can carry on your back.

I don't know where I would get one, but a Katana would be nice. As for a gun of sorts, a 357. and as much ammo as I can carry. And perhaps a grenade just in case, and a lighter.

Everything else like food and water, blah blah, that'd be easy to find in an urban environment.

Can a gun kill a zombie?

Can a gun kill a zombie?
Perhaps, if not you could at least blow it to pieces so it wouldn't be very capable of moving. It's like stepping on a roosterroach, maybe it didn't die, but do you think it will be moving around and about again?
