He's probably talking about the E3 trailer for L4D2, how Coach said "And if we run outta bullets... They're gonna wish we hadn't!", at the "And if we run outta bullets" line, he was using the pistol, thus implying pistols run out of ammo now too

Or, MLD, he might have just said that because "My pistols don't run out of bullets, but if they did we have these nice new melee weapons to use!" doesn't sound nearly as good.

Ya but melee weapons in the video are total ownage.

I think people miss that fact that Melee weapons are in fact MELEE, you have to let zombies get in striking distance of you for you to be able to hit them. This is bad in terms of zombies, if you're running along you'll want to be able to shoot them off players and/or shoot at the from a distance before they reach you.
