Getting xbox 360 soon(in maybe 5 months)

Im getting an xbox 360 soon and I want to know what games are worth my money.
I wasnt able to buy one earlier because my parents said I wasnt aloud to buy one with my money. Then while my mom was spending over 500 on her credit card for clothes she said that we could buy an xbox and now i get to save up 3-400 bucks for an xbox (allowance is 20 per week depending on how good i do my chores)
Also, should I save up for an xbox ELITE or the regular xbox 360.

I want something that:

• Lasts long
• Is fun
• Something rated T and under(for now
• And it would be nice if it had multiplayer (split screen or XBL)
• and fallout 3
