Go to your search bar, type in Command.
Click on Command prompt and a black box should pop up. Type into the box "ipconfig /all"
And a whole bunch of your IP configurations should pop up. Look near the top, and find IPv4, and write down the numbers under it, and then look under the IPv4 and there should be:
SubNet Mask
Default Gateway
DNS servers
Write down all the numbers across from that.
And I hope to jesus that you are on a Vista OS. Go to the start bar, in your bottom left-hand corner, and click on control panel. Go to the search bar, and type in "ip" and wait. Then click on "view network connections" and right click the internet connection you are using (whether it's wireless LAN or a wired connection, it should have bars and not a red 'X') and then click properties. Then it should ask you for permission, click allow (or yes) and click on "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP /IPv4)" and then click properties. Fill in the information here with the corresponding numbers that you wrote down from the command prompt.
I'm not sure if that is necessary anymore, but it is for me as my server is dead without it.
