Just out of my curiosity, how many people actually remember back when the old vanilla blockland(aka v002) was featured on The Screen Savers on Tech Tv.

I went to my friends house and downloaded vanilla blockland or v0002 and had an lan party.

I remember it. Hopefully someone will feature the modern Blockland; so much has changed.

Bonus points for anyone who can find that episode of the screen savers. It was aired Feb. 11 2005.

Isn't it on badspot.us?

Ah. so that's where it was.
Awesome!

Hi, I'm just wondering, if AOT could so something related to the game Blockland that was featured on The Screen Savers on February 11, 2005.

A lot has changed since vanilla Blockland (which would be what Kevin had been playing back then), we now have a full saving system, better bricks, a newer and more convenient building system, and FULL add-on making, with hundreds (I checked) of add-ons made and being used, over 14,000 registered players.

And, of course, with those 14,000 servers, there are usually tens of servers on, sometimes 20-30, sometimes 30-60, all with different aims.

Some allow you to play in team based capture the flag, others are freebuilds, and some are zombie survival games where you run for dear life from a horde of the undead! And even more games are showing up, variable based RPGs, TF2 parodies!

Oh. And Kevin? You can't hammer other people's stuff anymore. A new trust based building system has been implemented for full trust, building trust, and your trust, so you can let your friends build on and mess with your stuff but not random people.

So if AOT could do anything in relation to Blockland again, even just throwing out "BLOCKLAND.US, COOL GAME, YEP," that'd be nice.

Hurp a durp, I guess, guys.

That should have been stuck in the AOTS suggestions section.

Oh. Didn't see it. Whoops. ;P

They should definitely do a new one.
