I watched vash12349 play it and the audio logs creep you out.

once again my point is proven, these games are just gore, there's nothing actually scary in them

It's a really hard genre to get right resident evil did perfect with all of them up to RE4 Then the genre fadded away so they just added more explosions and miniguns.
