Author Topic: Graphics with Catalyst Control Center  (Read 538 times)

Recently, I got Catalyst Control Center for my RADEON 9800 PRO because I needed to update my graphics driver to play Team Fortress 2 and Day of Defeat: Source. Today, I decided to play Blockland, and joined a server. I loaded the bricks, and this happened:

Before you say "flushtexturecache();" I typed it in many times, and it didn't work.
Should I uninstall CCC (Catalyst Control Center)? I could still play TF2 and DOD:S without it, but the graphics wouldn't be as good.

I think ATI broke the drivers again.

There is a solution to this, I also have a Radeon 9800 PRO, This can happen with AGP Cards from ATI. Use modded ATI drivers and it should work.

Enjoy!

Holy god, it worked. Thanks!

people mod drivers for a reason, so many times they are better or fix issues.
but its really bad advice to tell people to try 3rd party drivers, at least for things like video cards.

i would have tried using an older version of his official ATI drivers first.
