screw vista

I has an XP

i think it can fit in my laptop. it is a freaking 20 inch!

20" thick?

Thats thicker than my PC is wide.  It must be a loving huge brick.

The beta and RC are ultimate.

What I'm saying is most people who read what's in each version won't buy ultimate because it doesn't have anything important over 7 pro.

You lose.
I'm guessing you didn't read anything I said.
I said if they're upgrading RIGHT NOW.
Windows 7 hasn't been released yet.
So the only people who have it right now are people who beta tested and got for free, or people who pirate it.
Guess what, people who beta tested it get Ultimate

To show our appreciation, members of the invitation-only Windows 7 Technical Beta Program will be eligible for a free, final copy of Windows 7 Ultimate. For more information on how to take advantage of this, refer to Paul’s post in the .Beta_Program newsgroup for details.

And those that pirate it also get Ultimate.

Also what's your specs?

I have an Asus M40VM B1

what's your specs?
4g of ram 4g of Vram 350g SSD 20inch screen quad core processor blueray player and a nividia card that i don;t know the name of but it is the best one they make. other than that the laptop is a custom (so there is no real model number).

20 inch screen?
All those specs?!
Why not just get a desktop PC, you're probably never going to take that thing with you anywhere!

where did you buy it from?

The OP is not as smart as he thinks he is.

i think 7 is the same thing as vista, cept compatability modes actually works with everything, however you need it.
So far its using about 10% less ram then vista was too.

How did you manage to cram all that stuff in a laptop? I bet the battery runs flat in half a second. Post a screenshot of dxdiag so I can see. Make sure you include one of the display tab, too. (start >> run >> dxdiag)
