Megaguy, it seems like you just go to random topics and flame them.
On Topic: no, it isnt that great, but with time it will be better. expect to get a lot of criticism just because people like to dish it out.
i have found that paint.net is actually very useful if you take time. use ctrl+mousewheelscroll to zoom in and out. dont be afraid to zoom in to the extreme and edit things PIXEL BY PIXEL. yes, it is meticulous. but if you dont want to put effort in, you wont get good reviews.
last, and i found this really helps for symmetric decals, use the selection tool to find exactly half of the canvass- on the bottom left it will say the demensions of your selected area. mark that, get rid of the selection, and make only half of your decal. when you are done, select that half, copy it, paste it into a new layer, IMAGE->ROTATE it in the image bar, and then paste it back into the original. this way you know it will be the same on both sides.
the very most important thing i can say is to be ready to erase. going in pixel by pixel and changing colors make all the difference between a good decal and a bad decal.
if you want to make a decal that looks like a professional, be ready to put in the same amount of work.
