The fact that it is there just to keep spam out is bad enough. The idea of keeping it is bad. Have you seen it lately? The good clans died out about 30 pages ago.

New clans are created and die every day.  The few good ones wind up dead every now and then as well.  These are replaced by new clans, most of which sucks ass.

There are about 2000 topics in clan discussion. Maybe 10 of those aren't dead. You also have all the crappy clans started in-game with no topic.

But as said previously, MotE and USSR are the two clans that had significant influence in the community and later disbanded.
