They change how they say that completely at random. Sometimes it's "he", sometimes "she", sometimes "The Pyro". You can really take any option you like and have complete evidence for it.

The pyro could be a he/she. Although the way the pyro talks it reminds me of my mom when she talks all angry.

No, the pyro will just be talking about her confusions with the team as she goes about her business. Wondering why everyone can not understand her and why no one treats her as an equal because of it. Talking about her day of acting like a goofy psychotic pyromaniac with a love of all things silly.
