You know how some vehicles get annoying when your trying to walk on them but
you keep sitting on it well I thought someone should make  this.

Like the new GSF cargo boat that is soon to come it would be very annoying walking
and bam!You stop walking and your in the drivers seat -_-.

It should be client sided.

It can't be made client sided, sadly. It can't be just server sided either.
The best way would be for it to come in the next version of Blockland. Having an add-on require both client and server to have it is highly innefficient, unless it's some sort of private RPG mod where the clients need to download a GUI.

I hope that it won't be like back in v0002 where you had to press "e" on a certain point of a vehicle to get in it.

That never worked for me. You had to jump around and do all sorts of obscure actions to get into the position it wanted you to.

The only thing I'd like is jetting out of a vehicle to prevent you going back in until you actually stop touching it.

The RC controller sorta did it. It might be able to be changed to actually mount the player. And not to be an item, but a key.

Well, I managed to figure out how to get into the plane.

You gotta stand on one side of the wing, face the other side, walk until you hit an invisible wall, look into the front part of the roosterpit, at the space directly in the middle, and press e.

There is a datablock value for whether or not a playertype can ride vehicles.

Vehicles have a default onActivate function.

I've done it, it was quite easy to do actually

And disabling the rideable thing stops it showing in the vehicles menu.

Using a button to get into vehicles would be great. That would allow so many more options for vehicles (Aka Drop-ships...)

EDIT: Also, a button to pick up weapons. Both features should be toggle-able by the server. And ammo.

But you asked for something else, though jacking others car/vehicle would be nice..

Please, otherwise it's hard for people to understand. Put it in Advanced Options like Strafe Steering etc. Allow mods to access their setting, too, for special items/turrets/etc.

What about servers that would want everyone to have that for certain minigames?

you know what would be really awesome

if instead of 'activating' things, we had a use button like half life that was context sensitive and noticed things like bricks with events and vehicles

and when it detects something that could be used or activated, a little graphic + text would appear at the bottom of the screen like "press (bound key here) to activate this brick/ get in this vehicle/ grab this weapon"
