It's just a movie.
It's some peoples taste. And sometimes movies don't.
Very well, I can acknowledge that other people like the movie. That was my opinion.

I don't see how you could hate a movie. Unless it was bad.
@ Yuki: I think the problem is that you have too low of a intention span to even understand the plot in such film.
Attention span. The plot isn't complicated, it's not even deep. I'm speaking from simply the synopsis, but I digress. I understand the plot very well. Girl is fish, fish-girl goes to surface, meets guy. Fish-girl wants to become human, and is given a chance. stuff happens, guy chooses any form of fish-girl and fish-girl becomes girl, lives happily ever after until they make a sequel.
It's not exactly the greatest or most original story ever told.Upon reexamining this thread, it seems that it's largely revered simply because it was done by a Japanese author/filmmaker.
