Author Topic: Is The Sims 3 worth it?  (Read 2476 times)

I'm open to all three versions (download, standard, and collectors).

I can read reviews all day, but I want to hear from someone who has had it for a while. I can get the download for $20, the standard edition for $30, and the collector's edition for $40.

First depends did you like the other Sims? If yes then buy it. I bought it and loved it. I loved being able going out to the town and meeting folks. The only down side is there are not many hair options and all the animations look the same as from Sims 2

I love The Sims 2, but mainly for architectural reasons.

Then you may not like it then, I found the game more about making your guy rich, tough, and have a hot wife(but that might just be the choices I made)

I remember once at my friends house I played his copy of Sims 3, and I made my guy flirt with a girl, then I selected the girl to see if her hunger is alright.

the "town" of 3 works way way better then the one of 2 (when you got them expansions)
unlike 2, you have time to leave the house after work for a date, or errands, or exploring and collecting stuff. go all over town and be home in time for plenty of sleep.

Autism :D

The Sims 3 isn't really fun. The Sims 2 is better then the Sims 3.
The Sims 3 is like the worse Sims game ever. It doesn't run to good on my computer. Only lag, Crash and stuff.

Thats the computers fault not the games.....

sims 3 runs better on my friends junk computer then sims 2 did.
and sims 3 actually recovers itself from video drivers crash (perfectly) why cant all games do that?

How? :o

I'm interested in learning this.

Its a good game, quite addictive to my point of view..Since I spent my summer 7 pm till 12 am playing it... Probably its always either a heatwave or a thunderstorm and I spend most of my time on the computer.
Though I expected many more features like a few Sims 2 expansion packs made for Sims 3 in the Orginal..but they are gonna make them maybe in 2010 or something.

I recomend if to buy it if you have the money or time to play it. :3

Do they still piss themselves and collapse from exhaustion on top of the puddle?
If so, then do want!

I found it was much better than 2. More complicated, but less hard, also watch Yahtzee's review. Sims 3 is cryptic.
