For your last resort, you could always clear your hardrive, yet you'll lose all programs you've installed, discluding your operating program and all applications coming with it.

@Oromis, you can try to forward your Steam Client ports.

do you know the ports?

UDP Any -> 1200
UDP Any -> 27000-27015
TCP Any -> 27030-27039

If you had bothered to read some of the posts that came before yours, you would have realized that his problem is that he has a terrible CPU, and not a problem with his OS. Doing what you suggested would do nothing.

Would my sound card work with this Board?

What interface is it? (PCI, PCI-E, PCI-E x1..)

For the most part, only the expensive ones use PCI-E.

What are you talking about? Graphics card?

Here's what i see coming out of this..

IMO::
You buy all these new parts for your computer. Great for now right.
What about when you want to upgrade again? It's going to cost you probably 200$ again.

I suggest you set your bar high, and just BUY a computer.
Then, from there on. You can upgrade it.

Why not just upgrade this one? Instead of buying a new one then when it is out dated, or whatever reason I'm going to pay 200 more bucks.

Upgrading my current makes alot more sense money-wise.

It should, It's recent. Pci-e 16x I think.

About the sound card.

Edit: Thanks for being so helpful, guys.
You don't really need a sound card unless you're going to have a surround sound system and you want to hear every thing. Sound is sound. You can still hear it without a sound card.

My only concern is if the cpu can be removed from the motherboard. My old rig had the cpu fan/heatsink locked in to the motherboard, not able to even budged out :/

Wouldn't the heatsink be included with the board/cpu?

Heatsinks are generally included with the cpu, but my old rig was an old pre-built.
