Very good recap, just mised out on the very small details, but it's okay anyways:

You try to follow the strange guy that went into the hole, however, the hole for you is not passable without being small.

You cannot since you aren't able to crawl through the narrow hole.

Maybe you need to "cheat" or insert a code into a machine.
