I didn't say because it sounded nice, I said because it sounded logical and the best thing to do. That didn't mean people had to change their ideals for another, no. But if more people used their heads and listened to other people rather than getting into the one-sided "I'm right, you're wrong" mindset, then we would live in a much much better place.

Think about it like this:

"Hey, I hate you because your religion is not my religion, I shall now start a war with you"
"But sir, we are a peaceful nation, and our religion isn't all that different from yours, we may believe in a different god, but isn't it all really about what that god teaches us?"
"Oh. I suppose you're right. I don't agree with your religion per say, but I understand your views for supporting it, I will now leave you at peace."

If the world worked like that and people weren't closed minded, then it would be a much better place.

Also, did you just say socialism was a good thing?
The Truth. Pure and simple.

I didn't say because it sounded nice, I said because it sounded logical and the best thing to do. That didn't mean people had to change their ideals for another, no. Also, did you just say socialism was a good thing?

What I meant by sounding nice was sounding logical. Just because there could be one good scenario doesn't mean there wouldn't be countless bad ones.

And no, I did not just say socialism was a good thing; I was listing good things that happened because of one-sidedness, and I said that socialism was ignored.

You're looking at the exchange of opinions in such a way that your examples lack any brain function above that of an algae cell, VH.

The correct answer was to point out that when Swhlfdhsofi did his example where he pretended to change his opinion to prove a point, that he hadn't changed at all and his point was still moot.

Instead you think he means that accepting peoples opinions without thought put into it is what he means. As things happen and the facts are pointed out, people's opinions change. This is why we don't constantly have the same people or people with the same ideals running our government-- people's opinions change.

Logic is not a two-sided sword as you seem to believe. Logic goes only one way, and that is why it is logic and not chaos. For example:

"Hey, I hate you because your religion is not my religion, I shall now start a war with you"
"But sir, we are a peaceful nation, and our religion isn't all that different from yours, we may believe in a different god, but isn't it all really about what that god teaches us?"
"Oh. I suppose you're right. I don't agree with your religion per say, but I understand your views for supporting it, I will now leave you at peace."
as Swhildsfjhidslfh's example. You say that there could be countless bad examples. If logic is applied then that is impossible. For example:
"Hello, our people enjoy [something atrocious and gruesome here], I suggest you do the same"
In your supposed "Swholli-land", the other state would agree simply because they are open-minded.

There's a difference between being open-minded and easily-influenced.

Another example:
"The Pythagorean Theorem, named for it's inventor, Tom Theorem, is as follows: A squared + B squared = C cubed"
In VH land:
"Nono, it's C squared"
"forget you, roostersucker. Now as I was saying, we can measure the power of a desiel engine(named for it's inventor, Bob Engine) with the following ..."

In Swhsdhfkjds land:
"Nono, it's C squared"
"What? check your book again"
"I have, it says C squared"
"Anyways, as I was saying, the Pythagorean Theorem is as follows: A squared + B squared = C squared ..."

Oh man, other opinions are so loving scary.

-Huge snip-

I'm never going to get my point across the way I want to so I'm done arguing. I agree to disagree if you guys do.

I'm not sure if I was being supported or argued against. I think both.

If I am correct, and was being argued against where I think I was, then no I do not believe open-mindedness and easily-influenced are the same thing. I think. I don't really know.

All I know is you messed up my name (which seems to be the new thing to do with my name) and it made me laugh.

Also, very well spoken Rkynick.

Yeah, I'll let it drop.

Arigato. (DOMO ARIGATO MR ROBOTO HAHAHAHAHA THAT'S SO FUNNY. No, that's not funny at all and you're in idiot if you think it is)

Double toast. New layout and banner, looks nicer. Banner will probably be changed later but this one will do until then.

Ahhh, what happened to the colour scheme. The black looked good. Also that banner is huge muggus and ugly.

Yeah, no problem with M rated games.

What I meant was Australia keeps banning good M games (Fallout 3, GTA, Manhunt, etc.).

What I meant was Australia keeps banning good M games (Fallout 3, GTA, Manhunt, etc.).
Even that varies, I bought Fallout 3 when it came out - and my friends had no problem buying GTA (From local stores).

lovey new layout, still adjusting it.
