Yea neo I would suggest you borrow a gun or go to ab airsoft park with friends and split the fee, get a rental and see how you like it. Another thing is you could just skip those two and buy a cheap one, if you buy a cheap one your better not to buy from Wal-Mart. I had gone pauntballing eith my friends and family and finaly decided to get into the sport. I bought a cheap gun off airsplat (I was new to the whole thing and didn't look enough into where to and not to do buy. It was a cheap Mp5 that broke after a month. So I bought a new better one that my friend had and liked, it was a nice M85 and still works fine. Only issue is it's a backyard gun and doesn't operate well if i went competitive. So now I'm moving up to a new M4 and will pick it up when it's back in stock.

I never told him to go to ASGI and spend hundreds of dollars, getting a gun from walmart is a waste of moeny though, if anything it'd turn him off the sport because, he'd think all the guns are stuffty. Neo, just watch some videos and stuff or find a gun to borrow, don't waste money.
Kill yourself.  Please.

Kill yourself.  Please.
Where the hell did that come from?

My first gun was a spring pistol, a wal-mart one probably.  I still have it today.

Mine was a crossman set. Pistol broke though

Keep it clean and air in it, have it in your case when you aren't using it, and it'll last for a long time.

No, I mean I broke it. Before I knew there was a certain bb size for specific guns, I inserted a large metal bb inside. It got stuck, I I had to take my gun apart to get it out. The gun never worked after that

I should kill myself for making a thoughtful post in an attempt to help another.

I had two spring pistols, both were gifts and unsuprisingly they both broke in under a week. I took care of them as intended and used the right BB's and they would break because of the cheap plastic and spring getting caught while roostering the gun back.

Yeah, but I think my mom wouldn't let me try out one. She thinks I'll be addicted to guns :\

Tell her "Get back to the kitchen woman I'm a man and will do what I damn well please!" and then the last thing she will be worrying about your intrest in guns.
