Xbox 360 Price Drop

Microsoft just announced that the XBox 360 Elite's price will be dropped by $100 dollars, and the Xbox 360 Pro will be dropped $50. This will be effective August 28, 2009. Here are some references:

I'm planning to get an Xbox 360 soon, should I just put my Wii on the floor instead of my dresser so I can put the Xbox there?

What I did:
Took a 32x32 LEGO baseplate, took a bunch of 2x4s and 4x4 bricks, and made a little raised platform for the 360.

I heard the power "box" causes RRoD sometimes if it's on the carpet.
Also, is the lego base on the carpet?

My power box is on hard wood flooring as of a week ago, so I dunno.

The lego base is actually on a metal/iron shelf.

forget off, there newest update wrecked a stuff load of peoples systems. I'm using a 80 gig to substitute for my 120, I'll bitch if I want to, prick.
