whos playing with me when it comes out?

Nou

All Sony online services are free. They have always been free. Maybe some handicapped game companies decided to make you pay since the game is on Xbox as well. But not the good ones.

EVERY Ps2 game has a monthly fee for online play.
All the ps3 games i've played were the same.

what stuffty games have you been playing?

-ONLY ON PS3- screen.
That's one of the reasons why I'm going to buy a Ps3

I have a ton of the usual PS3 games (Since, you know, how PS3 has not a lot of games available) and none of them require paying for multiplayer.

Maybe it's just the country you're in?

As has been explained in earlier topics, you will never actually see that many players at once.

It is split into several groups of 32v32, but their objectives are linked, that is, its 128 v 128 with the armies split into 4, with one part fighting over one thing or another against a part of the enemy army.

So 256 is total bullstuff. However it's a good marketing move because most people won't check too far into it and take it at face value.

I always wanted to play a real mass warfare online game, not just cod4 8v8 players.

@rky
Bull.
There are 2 teams each with a main objective. That's it. The players then follow orders given by their superiors or if they are of high enough rank dish out the orders. Also, The maps aren't that big. They may be bigger then usual, but they're not huge as forget as you may think. Have you even watched any gameplay videos or looked at any screenshots? Better yet, have you read anything about the game other then what was said on these forums?

Notice how there are not any details that confirm it one way or the other.

I'd like to see your sources on this. Also, I never said anything about the maps.

Yes I have, actually.

Edit:

Also if I am wrong, that's a forget lot of rage coming out of you over one simple mistake. Why don't you get a hobby?

One of them (Phantasy Star Unlimited Beta) has a $15 monthly fee for online, among most war games i've played.

Correct. At this point it's ambiguous, but your idea sounds more feasible.

I also heard something about a new server system that will eliminate lag.
Lag will forever be present unless we have things go as fast as light.
