Runescape - Let's make it fun :D

Since I like MMOs alot but don't want to pay $15 a month really, I was looking at runescape. It gets boring pretty fast... don't know how it used to entertain me. I was thinking, thought, that it could be fun if we made a "clan". The clan chat system is kinda cool, with ranks and all. And since being a member is $5 a month, pretty much anyone can afford it (If you're too poor for the $5, you can always play the free version).

For those of you who don't know what runescape is, it's a fantasy MMO. Here's a map of the game world. There's quite a few skills to grind :/ , 32 (?) quests if you play the free version, and a ton if you pay the $5 a month. There's minigames, 'Achievement Diaries', PvP, places to explore. Some parts of the game are kindof lame, and it's lame all around if you play on your on. Which is why I think we should do this :D Edit: Also, always play on high detail. The lower version sucks even worse.

What do you guys say we make a clan (mainly just for the chatroom, but if people want to get together to do quests or whatever, they could :D )? If you're interested, post like this (I'll try to update OP with your name):

You can join my chat, I'll give people ranks and such. Here's the current settings:

Who can enter chat: Anyone
Who can talk on chat: Anyone
Who can kick on chat: Captain+
Who can share loot: Corporal+

And here's a list of the ranks:

Recruit
Corporal
Sergeant
Lieutenant
Captain
General

Captains and Generals would be able to kick people, so even if I'm offline, chances are there'll be an "admin" there.



I really think this could be fun if we all hang out in the chat. And it's a cheap MMO, so if it's fun, too - double win :D

Pretty fun game at the beginning whenever you can easily get up skills, makes you feel yay every time you make the first full set of the armor yourself.

I got to around level 64 before I quit, was a member for awhile.

same for me, pretty much. but i got to level 50 or something.


I still think it's fun to play in a group :D

I got to 70 something and then quit because I asked myself what the point was and was there a goal. Then I realized there wasn't.

Once the exponential growth of level up exp begins to get to above 100k+ exp, it just gets mindless and boring because all you will do is repetitive stuff for hours just to get 1 or 2 level ups in a skill.

RS's clan system sucks - you don't know who kicks bans you from the channel.
