No point arguing with Duckmeister. He believes every animal species in existence fit onto a boat a few thousand years ago.

Is duckmesiter arguing that you said your opinion was a fact?

Is duckmesiter arguing that you said your opinion was a fact?
At this point I've lost track of what he's arguing.
..
Something along the lines of "SEVEN TIMES TWO EQUALS NINE! YOU'RE ALL WRONG AND I WIN"

"I think that guy is gay"

Am I saying
"That guy is gay" or "I assume that guy is probably gay." ?
Whenever people say "I think" that means they're assuming, using facts they know about life, to make a guess that is about something that is possible and maybe probable.

Please examine the following quote:

My opinion is homeschooled kids don't get much social interaction most of the time. (This does not involve the Internet.) I have been homeschooled before but when I went to school, I had much more time to spend with people my age. Not stuck in my house with my mother for several hours of her telling me stuff. While I would get out when other kids are still in school so I would just sit around watching TV or playing Doom.

Where do you find "I think" in this paragraph?

I totally agree that when you say "I think (something)" it means that you are stating your opinion.  But he said "my opinion is (false fact)", which is a totally different situation.

Get out.

Oh yeah, I'm totally going to obey you this time.

LOL WHAT

Opinion police, lol.

He's ignoring what I've said, that must mean he concedes defeat.

..

Victory!

Haha.  I couldn't care less whether you think my opinion is wrong or not.  That's why I did not respond.  No use responding when it will fall on your deaf ears anyways.

First off, you said "I think" = "My opinion is" and that he said "My opinion is". Meaning that he means "I think"
And secondly let me give you an example.

My opinion of Dr. Pepper is that it tastes good!
I think Dr. Pepper tastes good!

HURR.

WHAT!?!?! You're doing exactly what you're arguing against.

No use responding when it will fall on your deaf ears anyways.
Your opinion is wrong again, and based on faulty reasoning!

I've been using my eyes to see what you've been saying, not my ears!

I win again!

I said that he said "my opinion is (false fact)" not "my opinion is (actual freakin' opinion)".  That's why it's a totally different situation.

No thanks, I'll continue until he stops this little vendetta.
