Can't viruses spread easily through torrents?
Uh, You upload the file as a zip.
The only thing that would have a virus is the zip, not the torrent

Hooray for Opera and its built-in torrent feature.

I'm confused, is there a way to make it save the zip to your desktop?

...

/facepalm

Damnit garrysmod, i thought you were safe from the wave of torrents D:

God dammit. WHY. I was hoping to download more L4D stuff for Gmod.

News Flash: You still can.

Do you mean we can still download the zips?

Yes. Use "Open with" instead of "Save as" so you don't have to worry about starting or deleting the torrent.

Also, for those who didn't care  to read Garry's post:

Site is now using torrents for files > 1MB

To download you need to install bittorrent.

http://www.bittorrent.com/

Facts:

• Files are ALWAYS seeded. By multiple file servers
• You don't upload torrent files. You still upload zip files.
• Everything is the same except that when you download a file over 1MB, you download a torrent file
• If you don't like it, please make your own awesome file site and pay the bandwidth bills yourself.

torrenting is the greatest. every file on the net should use torrents.

THe only bad thing is opening the torrent program. Firefox should have torrenting built in.

Yay, pirates will now pirate freemods.

I think they have an addon for it. If not, there is a full on browser mod of Firefox that has integrated Torrent managing/downloading
