I just got back from the hospital. I was there for a few days because I had surgery and got my appendix removed. There's a lot more to the story but I know you guys don't care. (Hint: People need to stop letting everyone know when they break their arm or they're sick).

Talk about staying in hospitals and why you were there. Let's so who's been in the hospital for the longest :o

I was there for 6 days.

I haven't spent more than two hours at a hospital.

I slashed my thumb open once. It didn't hurt and, apparently, by sheer luck, I can still use it.

I care about it.
Now tell.

On-Topic: The longest for me was 2 weeks. I has a really screwed up flu.

Broke my arm about three years ago. Needed to stay eight days there because when my arm broke my nerve thingy got hurt as well.

Worst time in my life. Nothing good to eat, couldn't go piss by my self, the air was thick and the whole hospital had a strange smell.

I care about it.
Now tell.

swine floo

Never had to go to the hospital for anything.

paradox?

plot twist?

I have a friend who has worked in a couple hospitals.

The nurses don't freakin' care at all.  He saw one nurse go out for the "infinite smoke" as he calls it, and apparently she didn't like the noise of the ambulance idling nearby.  So she goes, hops in the driver's seat, and turns it off, then she gets out and goes over for a smoke.  Any nurse who actually knew what they were doing would know that ambulances are left on idle so that the various monitors and equipment (like an oxygen supplier) could still be running while the doctors run and get ready to give the patient full care immediately.

So the doctors rush to the ambulance, the clueless nurse doesn't know what's going on, and the doctors are horrified to find that the patient has almost died, because the ambulance was off, and they arrived in the nick of the time.  Did the nurse get fired?  Of course not.

I have so many horror stories about hospitals, it's really disillusioning.

Never had to go to the hospital for anything.

Weren't you just born in one?

never been in a hospital besides being born.
