Author Topic: Simple Well Hat Mod v3 [PH]  (Read 79599 times)

I made a "fake idle" sort of program. Need some people to try it out:

Do not run it with BL open. Close BL, then run it. Close it before starting BL.
Link to latest version (1.2.6):
http://www.blocklandop.com/downloads/BlocklandStats.rar
You'll need WinRAR or any other RAR extractor to extract the contents of this file.

The program basically simulates idling in a server. I'd like to know how well it works for people.

The latest version of the program will show you when you get new items. It will also display timestamps so that you know when you got them if you come to check later.

loving lol'd

Every 25 minutes (from when the server started), each online user has a 50% chance of recieving a hat.

EDIT:

Found a flaw in your script. Lines 116 and 126 use return, where they should be using continue;. If someone has all hats or is a cheater, everyone who joined after them will not get their chance at a hat, and the function will be exited out of before it can save data and start the schedule.
I will let Mr. Doom know asap.

Thank you truce.
The mod has been updated to v2.

Also, i would love it if people stopped attacking this mod.
It's called criticism. People don't like the afk kicking.
Aside from that it's good.

Yes.

Aside from the fact that I go sadfaic since Scout's doublejump takes the hat off and When cloaking, the hat shows :(

Talk to space guy.

Anything that mounts an image in slot 2, as I said. The Double-Jump uses a mounted image. Also, the Emote_MadHatter one which you never credited as well as this will conflict with your hats.

Ive heard that. I can't fix hat mod.
But, possibly there is a way to hide such mounted items when cloaking.

Which would have to be done by you. So stop shoveling this stuff on me. People are complaining about it.
And i tell them to talk to you. Why? Because i can't change around your stuff. Only you can.

It's not your responsibility to fix it. Im simply saying that if your going to say the same stuff over and over, then you might as well try to fix cloaking or the double jump to be compatible.

Mounted images is a really bad way to do hats. They lag horribly when you start mounting loads of them for different hats, bodies, armour pieces and whatnot - that's the entire reason they were replaced with the m.dts method in this version of Blockland. Unfortunately, this cuts out the possibility for custom hats. I suggested a better method a while back (which could utilise the avatar menu and custom colours, allowing custom body parts as Add-Ons) but it was basically ignored.

Exactly.

Update: You can now submit your hats to me via PM.
If they are good enough. I will add them to the pack. Along with your name on the credits.

... What. "I agree my method is bad and laggy, now I'll keep on doing the exact same thing"

There you go again.

Ill be here all day until you can come up with a alternative.
Also, how is this laggy? Do you even know the definition of lag?

When moving in fast vehicles in v0002 (and I believe in this version too), mounted images stayed about ten feet behind you at all times. Hence, they lagged behind.

This isn't v0002.
Things have changed. Engine updates.. etc.
The way we've done it, is perfectly acceptable.

My test doesn't work D:
The /hattest is just an unknown command.

huh
Don't try to use the test script along side the hatmod. That might be screwing it up.
