I'm not a fan of the idea of RTB being packaged with Blockland. I'd like to be able to control it's distribution myself.

Yeah, plus blockland cluttered with player made mods as default is kinda cheesy. :/

That's your job to make sure everyone downloads RTB, then.

;)Anyway when do you believe there is gonna be The Beta phase of Rtb 4?Soon?

With the new website it'll be possible to configure your server using a web interface and then update the server with those settings - without ever having to join it.
Oh great, now our server's security is a slave of RTB.

Solution: Uninstall RTB.

You are in control of your server security and you always have been. There is absolutely nothing that we can do to take that away from you. What you install or allow is entirely up to you.

Let's make it clear. This is an OPTIONAL service being OFFERED for CONVENIENCE, totally FREE of charge and you are NOT REQUIRED to use it. This doesn't just apply to the server control web interface, this applies to IRC, the mod manager, the forums, the ID list, the wiki, the xmpp messenger and every other feature Ephialtes rolls out in the future.

You will not hurt our feelings by not using it. You will not offend us. We will not miss you.

We try to keep it so that people do not need to download RTB to use Blockland. If at any point you feel like you are being forced to use RTB in order to access features of Blockland (not RTB), please tell us.

Will you be able to join your friends server, like in Steam?

Found a bug with rtb :In the colorset manager once you have like 20 colorsets you can never scroll up or down and new colorsets do not appear.

If RTB compromised people's server security for any malicious reason, then Badspot would obviously remove it.

Temporary Solution: Do not have over 20 colorsets

For the next version of the Downloads System I will be allowing public access to the Holding Tank to check out the add-ons in there. Users will also be able to vote on whether they think the add-on should be approved or failed based on the screenshots and overall presentation and quality of the submission. They won't be able to download it, however. The vote will then help Mod Reviewers make a decision on an add-on when reviewing it.

The idea behind this is to encourage people to take the time to put together a good looking submission that explains clearly what the add-on is.

What are your thoughts and concerns about this?

Sounds great.

Power to the people!

What happened to the original concern that when the "SUPER MEGA ROCKET BOMBER" (Which for this purpose is a repackaged rocket launcher that overwrites the original datablocks, has ugly particle edits, and is rediculously overpowered) gets failed, you have tons of raging people who thought it looked so cool that all the other problems shouldn't have mattered.
