It said sorcerers are less powerful but know more spells, so that's why im wondering :P

No, sorcerers have more trouble changing their spell loadout but have more SP so they can cast more.

Wizards have a larger variety I believe.

Also we should set a time and date to get together for mass dungeon raid or something. I want to do less soloing but I don't want to party up with strangers at the moment.

Sorc: Has more SP (more SP than any other class) and has enhancements the boost spell damage. Can cast a smaller variety of spells and can only change on spell in their load-out every three days.

It is said that higher level wizards are better than sorcerers because sorcs lack crowd control and it's true. The thing is the ideal party has both a wiz and a sorc, you use the wiz for crowd control and de-buffs and you use the sorc for dealing damage.
