Intense and Immersive gameplay and a story mixed with fantastic presentation in what is one of the greatest First-Person games of all time, part two.
Wolf, DOOM, Duke, Dark, Darkness, Modern Warfare.
Not to mention the almost flawlessly executed multiplayer systems.
I would never list a call of duty game anywhere close to a list of "greatest FPS games of all time".
You also can't say its "almost flawlessly executed multiplayer systems" are almost flawlessly executed. I've played the first a number of times and nothing about the multiplayer systems were flawlessly executed, and most of my addicted friends are always complaining about it.
Why have most developers stopped making good games?
That said, I have a theory: stuff sells as well as good games if you have a large enough budget to give it a "fantastic presentation", so why bother?
Too much extra fluff these days, graphics, sound, it's drawing away from the more important aspects.
