Looks like you tried to make it in GIMP. Gimp does that, so just use some other program. I'm pretty sure I posted a good online one somewhere in here.

Yeah. I was able to make a transparent animated gif a long time ago on GIMP, but maybe one of the new versions screwed it up.

"What's the difference, Magic Wand does the same thing!". The difference is huge. With the color select tool, you can select the entire color with a click, not having to find each area of the color is secluded in.

You just don't know how to use Paint.net, you can set the tolerance level for Fill can and Magic Wand. This means 1% is just one of the same color, 50% is most shades of that color, 80% is pretty much every shade of that color next to eachother, 100% is everything.

Make sure to scale them to 75x75 or smaller or else the forums won't keep the trans.

he can always scale the gif, and if he makes his avatar a gif thats not 75x75, it wont be a gif, just the first frame of it.
