Just to bring this back on topic, BBC wrote a rather nice article on the missile defense system that George Bush wanted to implement and the one Barack Obama is planning on implementing. The slides at the bottom are especially interesting.

I just did a review of the Face the Nation with Barack for history class, and basically its just that they found a better and more efficient place to put the defenses.
