Woo! I'm glad you're getting into the LEGO style builds. Those are the best!
Here's a Repair Shop I built on my sever (Greektown!) with GreekGeeker.

Yeah going from modeling to basic is odd, since I used to despise modeling.

I made a cool gas station.
Server name "LEGO Style Town!".
Password: Pass

can you host it again?

Yeah name is "Locked"
pass is pass

You deserved it. You did break all my stuff in the previous games too.

nuuuuuuuuu!

You just had to send me to hell too.

You should add a rule that if you rate someones application, and you don't approve,  you must provide reasons why you disapprove, and they should post how he/she could improve on their application.

No, they should know already. They should have looked at the current [USSR] member's accepted builds and try to match the level of difficulty.

This isn't to be mean, it makes sure that the quality of [USSR] builds stays at the cutting edge level.

Well I'm just saying because it would make a lot more people want to join [USSR] and give them hopes, and maybe they could become a great builder. I dunno, its just my opinion.

Good builders don't need critique.  That requires being to able think for yourself, which can't be taught.  For example, any noob could make Bone's Titanic if he were instructed to make every brick.  Giving extensive help to appliers would enable the same on a smaller level which is why we try to stay general when we evaluate applications.

Im just sayin show how it could be improved, not here lemme hold your hand.

I dunno, maybe it's not a good idea, I'm just trying to help, because the Server and the applications are just not up to par.

I'm leaving USSR and Blockland until the retail game is out. All my builds I want to do now lag too much. I was planning on making a huge LEGO city but obviously I was so blinded by my goal that I didn't think about current Blockland limitations. Everywhere I build people ask me "Don't you know how to use an EW? You need to learn how to build right." - That just sickens me. I'm not sure when this Editor Wanding everything craze started but it definately should not be the ground rule for building. Obviously these/most people have forgotten that the game is based on LEGO, not some boring CAD.
I've had loads more fun building "normally" than I ever have had trying to remember measurements with an Editor Wand.

I hope everybody except for Ronin gets retail - It would be nice to see you again!

And for the converation:
Facechild and some others laid down some SIMPLE guidelines for applications and tips.
- Do NOT make a house or something simple like a big object (like a microwave or a pencil).
- Use EW as much as possible. ( :iceCream:)
- Bonus for Russian themes.
